The VM4 protection monitor is a protective vibration meter designed and manufactured by Tavator Sepahan Engineering Company for machines with medium sensitivity. This monitor features 4 vibration channels with a standard accelerometer input of 100 mv/g (custom orders are available for other sensors), 2 temperature channels with input from 4-20 mA transmitters, and one rotational speed channel with input from a tachometer sensor.

The VM4 monitor includes three relays for warning, danger, and error, which not only react to measurements at warning and danger levels but also monitor the status of short-circuited or failed sensors. The alert and danger status notifications are both audible and visual, with management functions for alerts and dangers, including Acknowledge, Reset, and Voting capabilities.

This monitor provides both analog and digital output options for data transfer to DCS systems or a dedicated server with specialized software. The 4.3” full-color display featuring large fonts offers optimal representation of machine values and status, alongside LED indicators for alert, danger, error statuses, and digital communication. Additionally, a simple, waterproof, and dustproof 4-key keypad allows for all settings to be managed through the monitor’s panel.

This monitor features buffered analog outputs for use with portable vibration analyzers, making it an excellent choice for monitoring the status of inaccessible points in a non-continuous manner. Additionally, the presence of a tachometer output allows for balancing and phase analysis through this monitor.

The device is available in two box models: one with an IP67 rating and a stainless steel panel suitable for polluted and humid environments, and the other designed for rack-mounted installation in clean, enclosed spaces.

The dedicated software for this monitor enables the observation of values and alert statuses on the monitor, tracking of amplitude changes over various time intervals, management of alerts, and remote adjustment of the monitor settings.
